The Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) is working to provide Grantees with more information regarding the impacts of COVID-19 to the delivery of grant activities and goals. Grantees are still accountable for deliverables, but we will work with you to make necessary adjustments as allowable. Grantees will need to work with the OTS grant coordinators on alternate work plans that are in line with current grant programs and meet grant performance measures. Alternate work plans, such as trainings or education presentations in a virtual setting and social media traffic safety campaigns, must be reviewed and approved by the OTS.  

If any activity or event is canceled due to COVID-19 concerns, including enforcement operations, please provide justification that aligns with the local or state COVID-19 directives. These cancellations shall be reported to your grant coordinator as soon as the decision is made to cancel an event and must be reflected in Quarterly Performance Reports. OTS is here to help you reach your grant objectives and continue to reduce crashes on all of California’s roads.
